What to consider:

Computer Aided Translation (CAT)
These days, the customary way of processing a translation job is using a co-called CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tool, which keeps the source text aligned with the target or translated text, with the option of leveraging the translation against similar previously translated text. This means a text needs to be scanned in if it is not already in a word-processable format, such as Word for Windows. Therefore, providing documents in such a format makes processing a bit easier, although Word is now capable of reading most PDF files directly.
Human vs. machine or AI translation.
While machine translation and AI can help generate the gist of a foreign-language text, and indeed these tools have improved tremendously of late, there is no substitute for human translation or human-aided machine translation to avoid uncertain words and phrases, distortion of meaning, even hallucinations. If you have had your documents machine-translated or processed by AI, which seems a common option these days, then MTPE, short for Machine Translation Post Editing, performed by a qualified human translator, can resolve this issue.
